George Condo Prismatic Head Composition

Contemporary visual artist, George Condo, emerged from the East Village art scene in the early 1980s and, along with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, was instrumental in the international revival of painting during this period. This piece, titled Prismatic Head Composition was executed in 2024, creates a striking balance between the beautiful and the grotesque. In this limited edition print, Condo reconfigures multiple emotions into a singular, unsettling portrait. Condo's work is in the permanent collections of several New York museums, namely the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Albright-Knox Museum, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., and the Broad Foundation, among others.
